“Auntie Shema” Weiss, A Sacred Place 20-24-12

October 24, 2012     Listen here

Sue Weiss, known as “Auntie Shema” in the New England pagan community, with her husband Eric created  A Sacred Place, as a place where people of all faiths could gather in nature and pray, study, rest, or work. She’s developing a small working farm as well as putting up shrines and facilities for the various rituals, retreats, pow wows, fire walking, fairs, and other events hosted there.

Auntie Shema practices Earth centered spirituality, and has said that the mojo that goes into her plants is as important as the manure to nourish them. We’ll be talking about the ritual cycles of the year as seen by someone who doesn’t get it out of books.

Ghost hunters have also made photographs that show some of the many spirits that inhabit her back yard, and we’ll be hearing from Jason Craib (of T.A.P.S.) about his experiences back there.
